If you’re excited for summer — and, like us, longing for the days of human interaction — let us bring you the latest from Nick Black.

The Memphis-based artist released “I.R.L” earlier this month. The tune originated when Black’s wife wanted him to put his phone away and live in the moment. From there, the song took on a new meaning in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, when “I want to see you in real life” became a common plea among the socially-distanced masses.

“I.R.L.” features a soundscape that masterfully blends neo-soul and future pop with South American-influenced guitars. This combination creates a romantic, sun-kissed ambiance in support of one of the year’s most captivating melodies thus far.

Your summer just got hotter with this one. We think you’ll love it I.R.L., and you can listen for yourself below!
